Privacy Policy

GREEN ZONE KİTABEVİ VE YAYINCILIK TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ ("GreenZone", "we", "us") is the developer and publisher of the GoldWise mobile application (the "App") and the operator of this website. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the App or the website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

We act as the data controller for the processing described here. You can reach us at any time at info@greenzoneapps.com or at the postal address in Section 12.

1.Data we collect

1.1 Account data

You sign in to GoldWise with Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. From your chosen provider we receive your name, email address (or Apple's private relay address if you choose to hide it), and a unique user identifier. We do not receive your password.

1.2 Evaluation data

When you evaluate a gold item, we store the details you enter and the results we compute: the item's weight, karat, the seller's asking price, your selected country and currency, and the computed outputs (gold value, markup, gauge verdict, and fair-price target).

If you are a Premium member (or hold a scan pack) and choose to photograph an item, the photo is uploaded to our cloud storage for AI analysis. Photos are automatically deleted after approximately 30 days.

1.3 Device and usage data

We use Google Firebase to understand how the App performs and how it is used: Firebase Analytics (screens viewed, feature usage events, device model, OS version, app version, coarse region), Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports and diagnostic state), and Firebase Performance Monitoring (app start and network timing).

1.4 Approximate location

The App does not use GPS and never accesses your precise location. Your country is inferred from your device locale and/or IP address so we can apply the right market prices and currency. Where an IP address is processed by our own services, only the first octet (a truncated, non-identifying portion) is logged.

1.5 Purchases

Subscriptions and scan packs are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) together with our subscription-management provider, RevenueCat. We store your subscription status and purchase history references. We never see or store your card or payment details — those stay with Apple/Google.

We share data only with the service providers that make the App work, under their respective data-processing terms:

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

4.International transfers

Our service providers (Google, RevenueCat) may store and process data on servers outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States. Where data is transferred abroad, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer (such as standard contractual clauses) and, for data subjects in Türkiye, the mechanisms provided under KVKK for cross-border transfers.

5.Retention

• Item photos: deleted automatically after approximately 30 days.
• Account and evaluation data: kept while your account is active; deleted or irreversibly anonymised after you delete your account.
• Crash and analytics data: retained per Firebase's standard retention windows, then aggregated or deleted.
• Purchase records: kept as long as required for accounting and legal obligations.

6.Your rights

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK, art. 11) and — where it applies to you — the EU/UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• learn whether we process your personal data, and request information about that processing;
• access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten") — you can also delete your account directly in the App;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests, and request restriction of processing;
• request portability of data you provided to us;
• lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu); in the EU, your national data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@greenzoneapps.com. We respond within the timeframes the applicable law requires (30 days under KVKK).

7.Security

Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Data at rest is stored in Google Cloud infrastructure with access controls, and access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for least privilege and data minimisation — we simply do not collect what the product does not need.

8.Children

GoldWise is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9.What we don't do

• No sale or rental of personal data.
• No third-party advertising or ad tracking SDKs.
• No precise (GPS) location collection.
• No storage of card or payment credentials.

10.This website

This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting, which processes visitor IP addresses as part of serving pages and maintaining security logs. The website itself sets no marketing cookies.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page, and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
